I've always wondered why the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band decided to add that line into their song American Dream... I personally like Augusta, Georgia. It is, after all, where I was born and raised, and where I have returned (yet again) until I get hitched. Since I've been home, I've gotten to spend a lot of time with old pals that I grew up with. Tucc and her husband Emmett have been nice enough to let me spend many a night at their place. And while there, what's the number 1 activity that takes up a majority of our time? Rockband. For those of you who think that the target audience for that game is more in the 10-16 year old range, think again. Just come on over and give it a try--we'll show you how it's done. The band we formed (affectionately titled "Bek"--B for Becca, E for Emmett and K for Kathryn--it also happens to be the first half of my name--and there's always that other band named Beck) added a new singer a few nights ago. Though it started out rough, she improved greatly- scoring a 99% once, and even beating those of us who are old hats at Rockband. Kudos to you, Victoria.
I bet that if our band were to actually write a song (and not just pretend to play fake instruments along to old garage band tunes like Celebrity Skin by Hole and Are You Gonna Be My Girl by Jet), it would be called "There's No Place I'd Rather Be Than Augusta, Georgia... and The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band Can Eat It".... Or....something like that.

tell tucc that she should spend less time playing rock band and more time putting new recipes on her blog. or the masses are going to start reading my version of 'what's cookin'
